WEBSITES

When our account managers at the publishing company mentioned client requests for web design, I volunteered to explore how we could offer these services. While I had some experience creating simple sites for myself and volunteer groups, transitioning to full-scale website design for commercial clients required a deeper dive and a more structured workflow. This sparked a period of intense self-education and experimentation in web development. Since then, I’ve built several websites for clients and internal projects, gaining a solid understanding of the key elements: well-organized content, intuitive navigation, responsiveness, optimization, and security. I ensure each site aligns with the company’s identity, using consistent branding with colors, fonts, and imagery. My learning is ongoing, and I’m excited to continually evolve in the field of web design.

PROJECT: Grooming By Rose Website
A pet grooming business asked for a clean, bright website that would communicate their commitment to pet care and their dedication to providing the best grooming services.

MY ROLE: After immersing myself in Grooming By Rose’s business and approach, I delivered the clean design they requested, incorporating the bright colors from their logo and charming pet photos that captured a whimsical and endearing feel. The site is user-friendly, with intuitive navigation and additional client-requested features, such as a reviews section and grooming tips, making it both functional and visually appealing.

PROJECT: Scenic Outdoors Website
As a growing landscaping business, Scenic Outdoors badly needed an update to their website, which did not showcase any of their new work and services.

MY ROLE: Starting from scratch, I developed a site prototype that incorporated their brand colors and preferred typefaces. Once the design was approved, I organized and structured a large volume of new content to ensure visitors could easily navigate and understand the services offered, enhanced by images showcasing the company’s impressive work. Key service information was made easily accessible, with clear points of contact strategically placed throughout the site. Additionally, I implemented a news and articles section to keep clients updated on landscape care tips and the latest industry trends.

PROJECT: Putting’ On The Ritz Website
As our long-time advertisers, this independent salon turned to us when they were ready to establish an online presence and connect more effectively with their clients.

MY ROLE: For this client, “glitz” was the key. The site needed to radiate sparkle and glamour while addressing their clients’ beauty needs. To achieve this, I adopted a rich gold and burgundy color scheme that perfectly complemented the silver in their logo. The services menu was carefully organized to be clear and easily updatable. Additionally, galleries showcasing their work and staff bios were added, allowing visitors to explore the salon’s expertise and discover the personalized beauty services they offer.

PROJECT: T.H. White General Contractors Website
T.H. White sought to boost their promotional efforts. After starting with print advertising, they inquired about developing a new website to enhance their online presence.

MY ROLE: After meticulously gathering information and content about their business, I crafted a design that seamlessly reflected their existing advertising strategies, incorporating their preferred colors and typefaces. The service information was arranged for effortless navigation, ensuring a user-friendly experience. Additionally, I developed an extensive gallery that vividly showcases their work, highlighting their expertise. The result is a visually appealing and highly functional website that aligns perfectly with their brand identity and effectively communicates their services to potential clients.
