For publication covers, I balanced engaging imagery with clear, concise typography to create an opening statement that not only attracts readers but also entices them to explore the content further.

PROJECT: Community Unity Holiday Recipe Book
A local business association distributes this collection of recipes from business leaders.

MY ROLE: Conceptualized and designed the cover, curated and edited submitted content, and crafted the layout for the interior pages, while also contributing to the design of select advertisements.My approach aimed to create a visually compelling and well-organized final product that effectively engaged readers and showcased the content’s best features.

PROJECT: Sea to Shining Sea
A collection of blog posts of a cross-country bicycle trip.

MY ROLE: This project held special significance for me. Our publisher and his wife embarked on an incredible cross-country journey, biking from Oregon to Delaware. Throughout their journey, the publisher shared weekly blogs, capturing their experiences in both words and images. I had the privilege of transforming each submission into the book’s layout, crafting the pages as their story unfolded. With invaluable editing and proofreading support from my colleagues, we proudly presented the two intrepid adventurers with a beautifully printed volume of their entire journey.
